The bonds are issued whenever the issuing body wants to issue them. They are discounted, sold at a premium or at par depending on how the issuing body prices them and how the market values them.

If the company is in trouble and has to accept less than par (face value of the bond) then it sells the bond for a discount. If the bonds are in demand and the seller can command a price higher than par, it sells for a premium.

Widgetcorp issues a $10,000 bond. If the bond sells for less than $10,000 it has sold at a discount. If it sells for $10,000 then it sells for par and if it is over $10,000 then it sells at a premium. The coupon, or interest rate doesn’t matter.

You’re talking about investment bonds, not insurance bonds. Wrong category.

if State Farm Insurance has a program of rebates for the progress of educational institute students, that is new to the concept
but you will have to check the program with STate Farm to see what they expect for proof
this certainly had nothing to do with wonderful driving and that would probably be the only reason for a discount

I think fair discount would be selling a product of cost $100 in $70 in bulk. You can look into some wholesale business portals like dailytrader.com, amazon, ebay etc…

My first thot is , "is it stuff that you have to purchase?" You are the only one who can decide. You mark up your price 50% or double. You then reduce that price by 30% after taxes. That’s your wholesale. And that’s low after taxes, handling and shipping cost and overhead.

As a Purdue Student ‘GO BOILERS’ I can tell you that it is a really wonderful discount! It is 10%-20% off (depending on the laptop) and it is an extra $50 off of any laptop $400 or larger (the 50 is only for purdue thou; get the coupon at the ITaP) Seriously thou GO PURDUE! IU SUCKS

In my opinion I would suggest that you should check out Dell Studio or Dell XPS or HP Envy laptops as all of these laptops are indeed a wonderful reliable laptop and moreover they are value for cash what you pay.

So again I would suggest that you should check out these laptops.
