How do you calculate the original price of an item after you were given the discounted price? For example, I bought 3 item clothes and they were on 20% discount. I ended up paying after the discount. How can I calculate the original price of these items without the 20% discount?
I was able to answer this, however, I used trial and error until I finally got the correct answer. Is there an equation on how to solve this without doing a Trial and Error method?

Alot of dinning places in Pa offer military discounts. Usually you just show them your ID and they give it to you. I know chili’s offers a military discount but you have to be in uniform regardless if you have an ID. More places seem to be doing away with the military ID card discount and going with the uniform discount. Is this happening anywhere else? Whats the big deal about the uniform anyway?

While I was in the market for looking at a new mobile telephone, I noticed that SprintWireless was offering a larger discount to new consumers than returning. Also, anybody know what new Windows Mobile telephones will be out through November 2009 through January 2010? Please do not tell me to get the Palm Pre or any other Palm or Blackberry, those are not my style.

Is it plausible that if I ask a hotel manager for a discount they’ll give one to me? Should I be specific about how much of a discount I’m asking for?
I just love this hotel. I wrote very positive reviews for it on different traveling online web pages.

I do not have a job and need work on my teeth. My father is trying to get single dental ins for me but he can’t find ins only dental discount plans. When we start out they say insurance plan, then when we call to order they say well this is just a dental discount plan. What’s the difference?

When I was in New York, Century 21 was the most excellent place to shop for ties. They had great variety, a huge selection, many quality designers, and all at a wonderful discount. Is there anything comparable online? So far I’ve seen cheap prices with limited selection and questionable quality, or else a selection of known brands that aren’t very cheap, even after discount.

I’m planning on buying a new truck and am looking into a Silverado. GMC has a deal where they give you a discount/rebate if you buy a vehicle within two years of graduating college. I am just wondering if anyone else has taken advantage of this program and how much was taken off your price?
