My company sells handcrafted baby gifts. I have had some interest from other businesses looking to purchase from me wholesale…I’m wondering if there is an average wholesale discount or a range that is acceptable?

My first thot is , "is it stuff that you have to purchase?" You are the only one who can decide. You mark up your price 50% or double. You then reduce that price by 30% after taxes. That’s your wholesale. And that’s low after taxes, handling and shipping cost and overhead.

I think fair discount would be selling a product of cost $100 in $70 in bulk. You can look into some wholesale business portals like dailytrader.com, amazon, ebay etc…
