I want to start by investing a small amount of cash, something around 00. I want to use an online discount broker such as E-Trade or Sharebuilder with INGDirect. I was wondering which of these brokers is most excellent for a beginner. I would like to avoid any large fees or commissions. Thanks for your help!

I don’t know abt ING, but e-Trade, TD Waterhouse, and Scottrade should all be ok for you.

I prefer Scottrade.

Sharebuilder is also better than E-trade.
