I work at target, and I know i cant get a discount with a credit card and i dont like to carry cash. So can i use my member discount to buy a gift card? Or can I use my gift cards with my team member discount? or a combination of the two.

You can not use your discount to buy gift cards. You can use your discount when paying with gift cards, however, it is AGAINST POLICY to buy gift cards with your personal credit card only to spend it using your discount. I work in AP and I do check the reports for my store every day, and I do talk to the workers about this. If you get ahold of the discount rules, you will see this. Depending on the authority in your store, you could get fired for that. Either use cash, or just get the check card. All you need is a checking account and you can get signed up for it. That isn’t a credit card, and it will just come out of your checking. Plus, you get the points for it. I’ve worked for Target for less than a year and I just got my first credit card rewards, and third check card rewards, so its definitely worth it. Don’t risk your job.
