For example, I receive 8.68 from my Website. I know that I am charged a 0.95% discount for processing. How would I find the original amount the customer was charged?

Convert the percentage amount to a decimal by moving the decimal point two places to the left. 0.95% = 0.0095
Subtract that from 1. So 1 – 0.0095 = 0.9905
Divide the amount you receive by that number. 428.68 / 0.9905 = 432.79. That’s the original amount the customer paid.
